What I'm reading - Glen Hannah

FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE

Several years ago, my nephew and I, both big fans of the James Bond films, decided to read the original series of James Bond novels in publication order. He had read some and I had read some but neither of us had read all of them and we decided to rectify this with a reading challenge. So, starting with book one (Casino Royale) we're working our way through the series. Now up to book five, FRWL is much like the old movie, with Soviet agents trying to lure Bond into a devious trap. I'm up to the final third of the novel set on the Orient Express. The Russians are moving in. Will Bond and his beautiful companion escape to England? I imagine so but it's a thrilling journey.

Glen

River Blue (officially titled RiverBlue - one word)

DESCRIPTION

Following international river conservationist, Mark Angelo, RiverBlue spans the globe to infiltrate one of the world’s most pollutive industries, fashion. Narrated by clean water supporter Jason Priestley, this groundbreaking documentary examines the destruction of our rivers, its effect on humanity, and the solutions that inspire hope for a sustainable future. Through harsh chemical manufacturing processes and the irresponsible disposal of toxic chemical waste, one of our favourite iconic products has destroyed rivers and impacted the lives of people who count on these waterways for their survival. RiverBlue brings awareness to the destruction of some of the world’s most vital rivers through the manufacturing of our clothing, but will also act as a demand for significant change in the textile industry from the top fashion brands that can make a difference.
